The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie two Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services for the community.

SASSA will probably be rendering providers for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency said it is alarmed in regards to the substantial variety of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The goal from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some high range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no absolutely functional office committed to service the area each day. The services issue made for intervention encounters a high inflow of possible beneficiaries, that makes it tricky to the office to attend to sassa status all people who stop by a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra methods to permit the servicing of all consumers and improve access to Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
